From Tip-Off to Playoffs: Girls Basketball Reflects on Memorable Season


The girls basketball team gathered for its Winter Banquet to celebrate a season defined by dedication, teamwork, and steady improvement on the court. Players, coaches, and families reflected on the hard work that went into every practice and game throughout the winter. The evening provided an opportunity to recognize the athletes’ commitment and the progress the team made over the course of the season.

The team, six players strong this year, consistently battled throughout the season and showed tremendous resilience. Their hard work carried them into the playoffs, where they ultimately fell in a tightly contested game in the second round.

Several players were honored for their standout performances and contributions. Brooke Rodrigues was named First Team All-League and also earned the team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award after an outstanding season in which she played a key role in the team’s success. Nevaeha Noguera was recognized with Second Team All-League honors, highlighting her strong performances and consistency throughout the year.

Angela Whitley was presented with the Warrior Award, recognizing her effort, determination, and commitment to the team throughout the season. Laila Varner received the GRIT Award for her perseverance and resilience. These awards reflected the effort, dedication, and determination shown by the entire team all season long.
