The Rock Academy girls volleyball program had a great day on the road against Southwest High School, with both the JV and Varsity teams earning victories.

The day started with the JV Warriors sweeping Southwest 2–0, setting the tone for the Varsity matchup that followed.

The Varsity Warriors then delivered an incredible comeback to earn their first road victory of the season.

After taking the first set, the Warriors dropped the next two and found themselves on the ropes in the fourth. Down 24–18, Rock needed every single point — and they delivered.

The Warriors battled all the way back to take the fourth set 27–25, forcing a deciding fifth set. Rock Academy then finished the job, winning the fifth 15–10 to complete the comeback and earn the road victory.

The Warriors finished the match with 30 assists, 12 aces, and 59 digs as a team.

#7 Madi Birney led the Warriors with an outstanding performance, recording 11 kills and 4 aces. #2 Annie Goodin also had a strong all-around night with 8 kills, 3 aces, and 20 digs.

It was a complete team effort and another important milestone for Coach Mark and the Warriors as they continue their strong start to the 2026 season.
